Product exploration / Prototypes

Prototypes for learning what to build

A prototype gives an idea something concrete to test. We use these builds to explore an interaction or workflow before treating it as a product commitment.

A question worth testing

Prototype work is useful when it helps answer a specific question about the experience or process. It can be realistic enough to learn from without being ready for adoption.

We keep this work separate from delivered engagements. A prototype is not evidence of customers, revenue or production operation.

Everstead

Everstead is a Zen Aegis personal-development prototype exploring guided meditation and coaching across parts of daily life. Its place in this record is product exploration.

It remains a prototype, with the experience and role of the different coaches still being explored.

The concept combines a personal guided-meditation experience with coaching roles for areas such as exercise, mindfulness and professional life. The question being explored is how those interactions could fit around a person’s day. Their presence in a prototype describes the idea under examination, not a verified service outcome.

Automotive workflow demonstrations

The prototype set includes an inventory-intelligence demonstration and a dealer build configurator for an automotive retailer. The retailer is not identified here.

The inventory demonstration was a collective concept led by Alex Prince and Jesse Fowler, with Robby building the demo. It remains a prospect demonstration rather than a delivered client engagement.

The inventory concept looked at a shared working view of stock across locations. The dealer configurator explored a different interaction in the same industry: giving a proposed build a concrete form. Each gives a prospective user something to respond to before a larger implementation is scoped.

An AI-visibility probe

Another prototype explores how a company appears in AI-generated answers. It came from agency tooling work and is described as an experiment, not a validated ranking or business-outcome measure.

Across these examples, the label matters: a plausible interaction is a starting point for evaluation, not proof of adoption.

An answer generated by an AI system is material to inspect, not an automatic measure of business visibility. The probe explores that inspection task. Any later claim about visibility or improvement would need a defined question, a repeatable comparison and an appropriate interpretation of the results.

Questions & answers

A few useful distinctions

What is a prototype meant to answer?

Whether an interaction or workflow is useful enough to develop further. It creates something concrete for people to evaluate before a product commitment.

What does Everstead explore?

Personal development through guided meditation and coaching roles for areas such as exercise, mindfulness and professional life.

Is Everstead an active venture?

It is presented here as a Zen Aegis prototype, not an active venture.

What were the automotive demonstrations?

An inventory-intelligence concept and a dealer build configurator. They remain prospect demonstrations rather than delivered client engagements.

Who contributed to the inventory concept?

Alex Prince and Jesse Fowler led the collective concept, with Robby building the demonstration.

What is the AI-visibility probe?

An experiment in inspecting how a company appears in AI-generated answers. It is not a validated ranking or business-outcome measure.
